On Friday, Lorelei came home all excited because her teacher taught her magic on how to get a snow day from school, she had the class promise to do this Sunday night. So last night before bed Lorelei put her pj's on inside out, flushed an ice cube down the toilet ands slept with a spoon under her pillow. Since it had not started snowing by the time I went to bed, I prayed to the snow gods. After all, it is so disappointing to wake up the next morning after wishes all night for a snow day, only to find out there is still school. Thankfully I live in Kansas and not New Hampshire! As a kid growing up in New Hampshire there is no way we would have a snow day today, but I live in Kansas now and we don't do as well with snow removal out here. So I'm happy to report we have a snow day!
